BLOGS: WHY BLOGING
As bloggers, there is one thing we have in common and it is not lack of quality sleep. I am sure we always want more, or at least wish for more subscribers, more comments, more followers, more pageviews, and more opportunities. But is that enough?
According to the IMC (integrated Market Communication) from a public relation point of view it is important to create and nourish stakeholder relationships.
We also have to migrate from:
· transactions to relationships
· customers to stakeholders
· mass media to interactivity
And many more…My point is we are to create stakeholders, well done! That is what every blogger is aiming for (getting followers), BUT THAT IS NOT ENOUGH. We also need to nourish relationships with these stakeholders in these case, your stakeholders are your followers.
The question is how? If we want to say "I LOVE BLOGGING"
then we must do the right thing when we are blogging, otherwise you will just create a BlogSpot and end up quitting on it.
And the answer is…
We need to reply, comment back to your blog post. Let us not focus on our costumers(in this case, costumers are people who comment on your blog) only but even stakeholders(your followers) are important ,who said if they do not buy your product today they will not buy it in future?(who said if they did not comment today they will never comment in future?).Let us keep the relationship going while creating other relationships. Let there be interactivity (dialogue), feedback and conversations between you and your flowers.
My point is why are we blogging if we are not meeting the simplest rule of blogging which is commeting or called interactivity(dialogue)?
We als need to make people who are not in the PR and Media field what is the importancy of blooging becuase the support is still lacking amongst us growing bloggers.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Luckey, thats why i was voicing out that we should the conversations going
DeleteI guess the reason why we are not commenting or people are not commenting is because this blog thing is still new to most of us and we are still trying to get the hang of it. And there are even few companies that have blogs. So most people are not even aware that the is such a thing as a blogging.
ReplyDeleteyes i agree but there is always first time for everything so lets just follow rules in every thing we do
DeleteYes i hear that but it not easy for us people to adapt to change or new things
DeleteYes, point taken and thank you
DeleteWe blog to create public opinion, perceptions and as well changing whats already going on out there. I mean if I comment on your blog and you don't reply I am actually going to feel inappreciated because that clearly shows that you don't value my opinion as your follower or as your target market.
ReplyDeleteexactly my point Loyiso so lets keep on doing the right thing by replying our followers
Deletei think most of the people do not have idea why they are blogging as what they posts does not assist on anything.my point is we need to blog in such a way that benefits another person, and not just for the fun of it.
ReplyDeleteEven if your are blogging for fun but make sure that you keep the conversation going with your followers
Deletewe blog to create a conversation on a certain topic, as an organisation we want to know people's perceptions on our company.
ReplyDeleteYES I agree Miss Mathibe we want to know people's perceptions on our company
DeleteI have to disagree with you on some of the statements, well we just not blogging get more followers and comments etc. I blog to raise issues and inform people targeted.
ReplyDeletehi Themba i think you just got me wrong.I also said we are not suppose to blog for followers only
Deletei believe people do use media for specific purpose meaning they use the social media they understand.
ReplyDeleteoh? ok nice view and thank you
Deletei belive we use blogging as a communication tool so that we can get direct feedback
ReplyDeletei like that clive "get direct feedback"
DeleteWe blog to bring out stories that affect our communities and our country as a whole. These stories need to be heard,I hope your question is answered.
ReplyDeleteyes siya but what i am saying is we need to keep the conversations going
DeleteAt this point is guite hard, being under pressure to blog as it is a must and having to pin point PRPs or communication point of view. However, I think that we should always consider our followers by trying to frame an issue that is already out there. And also to keep the comversation going about a certain issue.
ReplyDeletenice one Moimane spoke like a PRP i like that and thank you
DeleteBlogging is a very important tool that most people are not aware of, i have to agree with that we need to comment on each other blogs this will help us in the future.
ReplyDeletethank you and i like that
DeleteTotally agree, I guess such a platform needs you to just relax, plan and think... Most of us are actually nervous, or worried that we are not blogging the right way, etc, etc...
ReplyDeletethe point is not being nervous but learnin to comment back at your followers
DeleteWe blog to communicate with our audiences, we therefore have to bare in mind not to just blog but to blog with an intention. Blogging also forms part of maintaining relationships, keeping mutuality and communication.
ReplyDeleteyes i like that "Blogging also forms part of maintaining relationships, keeping mutuality and communication"
Deleteblogging helps to communicate with our audience and because of this technology it is easier to communicate.
ReplyDeletei like that blogging helps to communicate with our audience thnx for voicing out that point
DeleteWe blog to provide our opinions on certain matters and to raise out the effects affecting that particular matter
ReplyDeleteThanks mr Mothiba that is a good point there but my Question was why do you have to blog if you can not maintain relationships with your followers?
